“The Matrix” or Communicating in a Web 2.0 World
June 25, 2008

Keynote speaker
Aki Spicer, Planning Director at Fallon Worldwide, will discuss social media tools and their effects on organizational brands. Today, the Web is fueling a vital movement of social interconnectedness and community in which people use technology to draw power from each other, rather than relying on traditional institutions and processes. How can organizational brands survive and thrive in this environment? Spicer will explore trends that are influencing brands on the social web and how communicators can harness these trends in their work.

University practitioners panel discussion
Three communicators from the University will present examples of how they are implementing Web 2.0 components in their work with an emphasis on why this technology fits with their units’ communications strategy.
