Applying Graphic Standards / Using Web Templates
April 26, 2006
The University of Minnesota’s image and reputation rest heavily on the ways in which we communicate about our identity. A key factor in our communication is consistent use of the U’s identifying graphic characteristics: our wordmark, logos and colors. We will discuss the guidelines developed for the U’s graphic standards and the new resources available to make it easier than ever to speak in one voice.
Having a consistent online brand experience extends beyond color and logo usage. Consistency of design and navigational elements across college, school, department, and unit sites, strengthen an overarching University of Minnesota online brand. Hear an update on the University Web template initiative and discuss strategies and techniques for improving consistency without sacrificing creativity.
