"Almost Famous" or Writing for the Web
September 26, 2007
Twin Cities journalist and culture blogger Jim Walsh explores the unique challenges of writing for the Web. He'll touch on how Web readers' behaviors and expectations make Web writing different from writing for print. Walsh will explore how Web-based publications often include both timely news content and analytical/reflective content, and how writers and editors can use both kinds of content to their best advantage. The session will also include discussion of repurposing text for an online venue. Jim Walsh is a former reporter for City Pages and current contributing writer to the online publication Reveille. |
