Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee plans and collaborates with Forum committees, other University affinity groups, and outside sources to offer professional development opportunities and resources for Forum members. 

Mission Statement

As a subcommittee of the University of Minnesota Communicators’ Forum (UMCF), the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that provide professional development, opportunities for conversation and self-reflection, and guidance and resources. Through these initiatives, the DEI Committee aims to shift culture and practices to advance diversity, equity and inclusion within our work and the University of Minnesota community. We approach this work comprehensively, respectfully, and intentionally, aware of the ongoing need to evolve.
